Member poleposition and I took a drive today and we swapped cars for a bit. The first thing he said when we pulled next to each other was that he could totally feel the difference with the SB and what a difference it makes. He had never tried a car with it before and noticed it immediately.

It's a must for everyone, regardless of what model car you have.

If you want a good deal for a Sprint Booster email Andy Wong.

sales@partsexporter.com

He is really good to work with and should hook you up with a SB for about 275 shipped. It comes very fast in perfect condition.

I have a manual gearbox. Opinions please from other manual owners, on whether I should go for the manual or auto Sprintbooster. Have heard that the manual version can be a bit over sensitive, so would value your opinions.
Thanks.

Andy Wong is a good source.

Iam still a bit confused. So basically this sb increases sensitivity of the throttle? But doesnt "sport" mode do that anyways? And if you put it in DS, it make it even more responsive. So with sb and sport and ds mode, wont it be almost toooo touchy/jumpy????

+1 I ordered mine on Friday the 16th Shipped from Hong Kong from Andy on Monday May the 19th, arrives at my home in Gurnee Illinois on Wednesday the 21st. How is that possible? Anyway, I installed it in 10 minutes and noticed the difference immediately.

What I wonder is why doesn't BMW make this thing standard equipment on the car in the first place. Is it an mpg issue? Seems like the technology should be built into throttle by wire systems from the get go.

Anyway I highly recommend it and dealing with Andy is a pleasure.

Bill

Question

I'm having a problem with my car, although im not sure if its related to the sprint booster. When i start up the car I hear a grinding noise like the starter is bad or something. Anyone experience the same issue? Help please!

I wanted to add a thought here...I had a loaner from the dealer the other day. I can't believe the difference going from my SB that I've had for a couple of months now to a normally tuned throttle. It was like a night and day difference. It felt so slow and sloppy. It's funny how I got used to the loaner for the day then when I got back into my car I had to "adjust" my foot for the first hour of driving. I kept racing away after every stop.

Try turning off the tracton control and the next stop light. Two black strips appear in your rear-view mirror. Got to be careful, this could become a habit.
