Get it Eko. Before I got it, I took VT's unit and tried it out. As Calton said, with the SB, I felt this is how BMWs should have come from the factory; crisp throttle response to go with the crisp handling. After that I ordered one for myself. Someone probably has one in SoCal that you can try on.

sounds good - have been following the sb threads for a while, and I am wondering whether to do it. back home here in austria, putting something like a sb in the car voids the right to use the car (similar to putitng 166 or 167 wheels on our car) on the streets of austria (yes, we are a paranoid state). however, still considering buying the sb. obviously it brings in a lot of fun but what i am wondering about is whether the fuel consumption goes up? does it?

Thumbs up

thats the type of story i want to hear, i have been on / off on the sprint booster forum threads, to see if this is any good, judging with your reactions it must be good,

JUST TWO Q though, does the sprint booster make the car consume more fuel, not by actual more fuel being thrown into engine, but the drivers driving style changed because of this????

And is the pick up (ie 0-60) any improvement???????

let me know if you can, as im still debating having it installed on m 530d..!!

I just installed mine SB on Sunday and echo everything else said by C's Bimmer. The 2-3 minutes it takes to self-install this thing is well worth it. As far as fuel consumption goes, it might be using a touch more but I think the biggest contributing factor is the temptation to let it all hang out. Now I definetly need a V1!!! Acceleration is definetly improved, not sure what that would translate to in 0-60 but you'll notice it trust me!

Don't delay... Get one today!!!

If you don't notice it, return the car immediately and go buy yourself a minivan.

Just get it. Your gas and car will be fine. Buy it! Hurry!

And yes, 0-60 must be better than stock; there's no hesitation or lag in throttle response. That must make up for some time.

Wow guys! This intrigues me. I'm having the AFE CAI installed tomorrow.(taking your advice VT)
My exhaust already sounds dope(stock--if any of you guys have heard the 08 550---nothing from BMW before it has sounded so good from dual exhaust)

Will this really improve throttle response on the 08 550i Steptronic? I find it hard to believe. If I purchase do I need to get a specific type (for manual or step/auto)? Who would install this for me in So Cal?

Maybe a step by step explanation on how to install would help too.

Thanks.

So Cal

Ha! My AFE Intake will be here tomorrow too. Can't wait for that.

The SB will def make a difference. I'm sure VT, ECF and my530i can attest to that when it comes to the V8's...and of course, the V10 when it comes to ECF's new baby.

Install isn't that bad. It was a bit tricky removing the plug under the pedal box, but once you get that out, it's a breeze. You can do it yourself.

Get it!

PS - Instructions for install are on their site. One thing though...it says you can bury the SB cable uder the carpet. That's not the case with the E60. It will sit along side your accelerator pedal, but don't worry, it won't be in the way when you step on the gas.

ECF - I see you on here. Let our man Mang know about the SB.
