2008 550i with 6MT, hesitation starting from first or second completely gone. Push the pedal in any gear any speed and the car just jumps. Sweet, 5 minute upgrade, what else can I ask for.

I really need one...hate that lag starting out in 1st.

It makes a lot of difference on that first gear, I actually chirpped a wheels a bit the first couple of times.

Ok I think I'm going to do it. But here's my dilemma: I'm not exactly "handy". And I'm also sort of "clueless". Remember, I'm the guy who didn't know about Sport mode until I accidentally kicked the gearshift to the left. And I'm the doof who back the 550 into his own Jeep. So, what does the install entail? I read a thread a while back that I think said you pop off the accelerator pedal and do something or other and -- boom -- you're done. Is it really that simple? Or are there multiple wiresnshit to worry about.

You're not alone...I didn't discover DS in my 530xi till 4 months after I had it! But the SB DIY is pretty good, and it's a 5-min install from what I've read, so I am sure you could tackle it.
