let's see how my 545i goes against a 550i with a SB tomorrow
I have no power mods. You've got a Dinan ECU remap and a bunch of other power mods that should give your 545 a lot more bhp than my 550. My guess is highly modded 545 eats stock 550 for lunch in a sprint.

My SB should arrive from Andy in the next couple days. Was installation as easy as everyone says? I think I'm pretty average as far as my competency with working on cars, but this will be the first time I mess around with my 550 so I am a bit apprehensive. Did it come with solid installation instructions?
Andy sent me instructions. Vlad said that the install was a little more involved in a 550 than it was with his 530.

Who is Vlad? Any idea what the difference is? I can't think of a reason why it would be different based on the engine. It is still the same install, right?

Your 550 will faster than M5 right now

I wish...but not a chance in hell that that will happen.

Well, there were 2 flights. The Barcelona to Paris flight had a lot of turbulence on it and the Air France Airbus did not seem as sturdy as the Boeing jets that Continental flies.
Airbus and Air France are not marques I like to see together when turbulance is involved. It wouldn't surprise me to hear that the reason Flight 447 went down was due to the French pilots surrendering to a storm. j/k

I just flew an A319 back from LA on Sunday and it seemed standard.

You would have to ask Vlad what the difference were. He did not think that the plugs were the same as with his 530's SB.

In the last 3 years, I have flown about 300,000 miles on Continental which has all Boeing planes. The Airbus that we flew from Barcelona to Paris just did not feel as sturdy in turbulence than the Boeings. It just seems to flex more.

Well, I gotta see if it's money well spent or they are all aFe (a fake erection) mod. i forgot who I got that from.
