Im not sure what mods to do to my 525xi. I was going to pay it off and sell it so I can get something to build my credit. But I figured that if I buy car parts with a credit card, that would be a much safer start lol. Plus i could not decide what to get. I want a M4 so it will take a while before I can actually afford the car. So in the mean time i want to do some stuff to my Xi.

List so far:
-do a little bit of interior work
-suspension (might go with ISC Coilovers for the Xi), currently have springs for my car.
-Different set of wheels (possibly)
-Bumpers
-headlights (if i can find a used set for cheap that I could cut them open and customize)
-Maybe the stage 3 intake manifold with a tune.

A supercharger would be pretty awesome, but I am undecided, If i went with that idea, I wouldnt be really able to get a 2nd car (project car). Plus im trying to justify spending that much on having 300 HP. With that money spent on the supercharger, I would be able to put down a down payment and probably pay for almost half of another E60! Reason I was looking into the sprint booster is because like I said, I just want my car to feel a little bit more sportier, not really looking to make power since our N52 cars cant really do that.

Not an 525 but litle bigger a 06 530 n52 got air scope-rpi exaust, remove one of the air filter ,, add the k&n filter--add bms box --sport button--peddal booster (more setings then sb v1 or sb v2)--m5 steering wheel paddle shifters--motivemods one click switch between ds and m1-m6--and when all ON i can say it break my neck )from factory 255hp now ~290-300 hp
I wish there is more i can do to increse it but i dont think there is something there beside getting another car(m5)
Good luck and welcome to mod bug allergie

I really do like my E60 because its a really good daily driver! I might end up picking up a 2nd car to be "fun car". Im picky on my car so i cant find anything that I like. So it brings me back to just keeping my 525xi. I know that once I start to do custom things to it ill like it more. Even if that sprint booster or bms box or whatever makes the car "feel quicker" because of the throttle response being better i might be content with that. My biggest issue is that my car is AWD, so i have a feeling that if i do all those mods it will still end up being sluggish feeling vs a normal RWD E60. The only thing i could see that would work is the supercharger. lol. But thats 5k...

I actually just got my sprint booster a few days ago and I gotta say it really does make a difference. I feel that it actually gives your car that little extra umph you expect it to have. really does remove that sluggish feeling especialy on the 525/530 engines. the funny thing is with the v2 you can go back to your original oem throttle settings and you can definitely feel the diference.

if you engage sport mode and pull the shifter into DS as well, with the sprint booster in RACE mode or red led mode. let me tell you this thing will literally throw you back into your seat and im running a m54 530i

not sure if the drop in airfilter, catback exhaust really make any difference to that but it sure feels good haha

shawn - that's really good feedback, so you would agree that a sprint booster will give you more of a kick over the sport button mod. That was my point since the OP was asking about the sprint booster, then others suggested the sport button.

If you guys do go with a sprint booster, pick up the V2 or latest that has the switchable settings.

I might end up buying that sometime this weekend. Might as well. I hate the dead spot. I dont like how i press on the gas and the throttle feels really slushy or the car really heavy and then when i hit the pedal there is that huge delay before it downshifts and revs up.
