According to H&R, Your car isn't on the list of cars that need to have the bumpstops cut.

This thread would be very informative for you because you both have XI models

I have a 530i non-sport and had to cut the bump stops with Eibach/Koni FSD setup. Did not cut them when I first installed it but had to months later as the car was sitting on the bump stops. The car now rides much better with the bump stops cut.

If you don't want to cut your bump stop you can try getting the m-sport one. Nicke60gre posted up a picture a while back with all bump stops next to eachother. You will find that the non-sport ones are much taller.

H&R is clueless. The facts are what they are.....don't cut them and plan to be sitting on the stops.

If i was a new to suspension modding (which i am) i would listen to this man. He has been through all the ups and downs. Reading his spring story and talking to him convinced me if your going to do something do it right. Coilovers.
