Today (since I hope to get an ESS/RPI ECU tune soon) I decided it was time to do some Spring Cleaning to the engine.
This meant:
1) Cheveron Tecron Fuel injector cleaner put into half a tank of gas
2) New Bosch Platinum +4 Spark Plugs installed (followed this DIY: Spark Plugs - M54 )
3) Cleaned the K&N air filter and cleaned the MAF sensor

This was all necessary since I have just gotten to 68k miles on my car and it still had the original plugs. The air filter has been in for 2 years through typical SoCal hot, dry weather cycles.

I will see if this helps fuel economy and power - it should.

Part 2 will be next weekend, it involves removing my wheels and cleaning and applying lithium grease to my KSports to keep them performing flawlessly Then taking the car for a wheel alignment and rolling the rear fenders more so i can drop the rear end a little more.

Sup John,
Where do you put the grease for the KSports? Also, where do you get your fenders rolled? At Trinity? If so what do they charge for all 4 corners? I am thinking about slamming mine

Wassup Jason, yeah, for the fender rolling I'll go through Trinity. Not sure exactly how much it'll be but they always take good care of my car.

How do you clean the MAF sensor? I ordered a K and N filter and am afraid of the oil getting on the sensor and want to be able to take care of it myself.

Sorry--I just found the DIY.

Here it is for anyone else. I have not read the whole thing but assume hit has all the info.
