So the standard hi-fi has a 4 Ohm midrange and 4 Ohm tweeter on each corners. Can you swap out the midrange with a 2 Ohm so long as you use an aftermarket amp that supports both 2 and 4 ohms?
Incidentally, anybody here upgraded to the BSW speakers for their standard Hi-fi? Have you guys made any Ohm's measurement on them? What are their specs?
Thanks!

i ordered the bsw upgrade i never installed it yet but I will soon as I get other mods complete I have no idea what the specs are I kinda just bought it from what Ive read how much people love it.
I was gonna combo the bsw's with the ms8 and use an aftermarket sub and amp in my trunk I gotta imagine that will sound awesome.

I was just looking to get this system and want to know if its good or not.
Seems to be from what I have seen.
Any users of it on here?

The speakers are all 4 ohms but because the mid and tweeters are connected in parallel it gives a 2 ohm load on the amp/hu.

Correct because all the outputs on the car are 2 ohms. So centre is run on its own, the doors are run in parallel, the subs are run on its own. The ones that run on their own will be 2 ohms, those in parallel are 4 ohms each.

Mids are 2ohms in the Logic7. The tweeter -although connected in parallel with the mid- has a cap inline so the total impedance is kept at 2ohms from the point of view of the OEM amp output.

Is it possible to mix L7 2 Ohm mids with standard 4 Ohm tweeters?
