I own a 2005 530i with 70k miles, I'm planning on putting in new spark plugs. When I search on the BAV site for plugs I get 2 options, Bosch OEM for about 21$ each and another Bosch model for about 7$ each.

Is there really a difference?

If not can anyone recommend a brand and model number?

Thanks!

As long as the part number is FR7NPP332 you are good. You can purchase them at Kragen Auto Parts as well for 6.29 per plug.

I just replaced my plugs on a 530 with 42k miles and I had the same dilemma however I went with the stock, OEM bosch parts which was 20 bucks a plug from the dealer. For the 50 buck savings it is not really worth it for a part that will last for 60k plus miles and a part that is so important to a car. There is a lot of different a features of a spark plug that need to match an engine design and you really cannot know if a different plug will work properly unless you use the stock part. I changed mine and was really happy with the difference and I only had 42k. My plugs looked HORRENDOUS! So I can imagine with 70k plus miles they will look terrible and you will notice a smoother engine with new plugs
