Spare tire for BBK?

Blew a tire this evening and found out the fun way that my spare tire will not fit over the BBK. What spare tire (if any) are you BBK owners using? I had to pay a tow truck driver this evening to move my car because the spare tire would not fit and I don't want to have to do that every time I get a flat tire haha.

either the spacers or you can buy a full size 19x8.5 wheel and tire. that's what I did. lost some trunk space but with my 60 mile round trip commute I figured it was worth it.

Another way, and possibly cheaper? Get the Premier membership from BMWCCA, I get 200 miles of towing and roadside assistance easily on par with AAA. BMWCCA - Membership has it's privileges

yes, but that also means waiting by the side of the road until help arrives. Admittedly, you could use the towing for other things, but I got the wheel NEW for $120 from Tire Rack on close out, got a used tire locally for $50 and for under $200 total I had a full size spare. The spacers would also come in cheap but I'm a little wary of using 2 and the really long bolts.

the one I got on close out weighs about 22lbs, Kosei K3 something or other. it's a 5-spoke design. no longer available. but it was $129 too. 18" as long as they clear M5 brakes would of course be fine and probably opens up more tire options. clearance must be TIGHT on those- I can't fit a finger between my 19" 128s and my front calipers.

Here are some photos for your guys' amusement...
Here is the car jacked up on the passenger side. Great place to get a flat tire. At least I was only a few miles from where I needed to go (towing was charged per the mile):

If you look hard, you should be able to see a hole in there somewhere:

If I only had tools, I would have taken the caliper off and wired it up and out of the way so the spare would fit, lol:
