I did a search and found one thread with 0 replies asking for info on spare bulb kits for the E60. So, here goes again...

I'm looking for a kit of some kind that has at least one spare bulb for all the exterior applications for our cars. I have run across one kit each from Phillips and Sylvania. I see kits for the H7, H4 etc. Does anyone know which kit would be the best fit for the E60? Specifically, I know that in Europe, you are required in most countries to carry one in the car. What do you folks carry?

i guess that's a good idea but i've had my e60 for almost 3 years and no bulb went out yet. must be a lucky guy.

if i wanted a bulb kit i would get it from bmw since they would know the correct bulbs to have. good luck!

 

I agree that the bulbs don't go out very often, but I like to be prepared for everything that I can. I usually carry spare tail light and turn signal bulbs but they just rattle around in the glove compartment. I am looking for something in a sort of plastic case that I can stow in the spare tire compartment along with the spare and tool kit. More of a convienence thing than anything else. I know that I can put a kit together myself, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of a kit that was already done up. I saw a pretty nice looking kit on both Phillips and Sylvania's web sites for cheap, but I don't know which one to get. As far as I can tell, BMW doesn't make one, at least not on this side of the pond.

 

As it compulsory in several parts of the EEC to carry spare bulbs I would expect BMW would be able to supply, therefore try ebay.de
