My Ride: 530I Silver gray with gray leather with Premium Package, Logic 7 Premium sound system with Ipod interface, xenon adaptive headlights, Active steering, Power retractable rear sunshade, Comfort seats, Cold weather package and M5 OEM 166 wheels, Sprintbooster. Ceramic Tint all around, Bilstein Sports shocks with Eibach springs, Brake performance Rotors and Axxis ceramic pads.
It all depends on the offset of your wheels. I use 12MM spacers in the rear wheel(OEM M166 M5 offset). And no 12MM on each side.
It depends on the offsets and the width of the wheel. Tell us those measures (right and front) so it would be easier to tell the "right" size.
To determine the size of spacers can also be done by estimating/measuring the free space between the tire and the edge of wheel well:
thats a really nice diagram! thx very much!

hey sorry to thread jack, but i am curious what spacers i would need on my car as well...i am lowered on h&r springs and have stock 124s..do you know what spacers i would need for my front and rear to make my setup flush? thanks!
I'd put 5mm spacers front and 12mm or 15mm spacers rear.
