I would assume that spacers put some additional stress on the suspension due to the change in leverage. Those of you that have them... are you concerned about this? Is this a real concern?

I have 20mm spacers (on the large size). I have no concern that an extra 7/8" inch will cause any problems on my vehicle. I can't say that I have ever met anyone who had an issue with this.

So far, its all speculation from those who like to raise theories.

 

i am considering this exact same thing, i l keep an eye on this thread for sure!!

 

I'm also thinking of adding 12mm spacers to the rear wheels of a 550i with the sport package and 172's. I'm concerned about the general handling of the car and wear of the tires. If the spacers are fine for street use, will the same be true for the track or will they create any ill handling effects on a track? I will also be keeping an eye on this post.
