Hey there everyone!
Im looking to Dynamat the trunk of my car, but after getting quotes and things of the sort, it seems to be a bit expensive.
Ive heard there is a cheap alternative that is sold at Home Depot or Lowe's.
Is this true? If so does anyone one know what its called, and maybe how much?
Thanks alot,
danny

From first hand experience, your best bet would be to go with the dynomat.
don't pay anyone to do it, buy the material and do it yourself.
nothing at home depot is going to work as well, or be so easy.
All you have to do is lay it on the spot you want, like a sticker.
and push pretty hard on the backing of it to form it to the shape.
+ its much cheaper doing it yourself

I've seen people use the peel and seal, seems to work alright but I have heard that when hot it gets a little gooie and sticky where as the dynamat stuff doesn't do this.

When it gets hot, (Arizona) it looses its stickiness. you have to clean the s**t out of where your applying it.
AND, it will make your car smell horrible for at least a week, maybe more, depending on how much is used

i've used the peel and seel before. its not bad, and cheap....like $16/roll i've never used it in extreme heat though, but it's made for roofs, and those get hot.
