The quality is spot on, clean welds and it feels solid without feeling too heavy - if that makes sense. I will make another attempt to install tonight, I had to ask a friend if he happened to have the Torx bit I needed to loosen the bolts for the stock strut bar. I have it now and I will try to make time tonight for install (shouldn't be more than 30 mins if I take my time)

I will post pics when it's installed, and probably a review tomorrow evening after I've had a chance to drive with it on.

did not know cosco made bars for our BMW.
I have cosco on my Honda stepwgn and they are good but cost 2 times the price compare to UR bars.
in the end they are both metal bars and why pay more if they do the same thing in the end.
Get the UR 1 you will love it.

Good luck. Can't wait to hear the results. It is one of those things I have been contemplating. WHo was the vendor?

It would clearly be best if it does the job AND looks good Wouldn't you agree?

This is mine, I like how it looks and it does the job. Its very strong, no flex whatsoever (unlike your old one), made of CF (the pipe) and aluminum (the cast ends) but I am not sure if its as strong as the UR one, would be great to find out... In any case its easier to remove when engine work is being done. Cost was $160:

I seen this before copy of ACS. I like this very much but it was the price that put me off back in 2005 which cost over $300usd.
now it is very cheap and looks good.

Initial impressions are friggin fantastic!!!!! After I installed my coilovers I started to hear creaking from the windshield over bumps and dips as the chassis flexed more due to the stiffer suspension. That creaking is gone!!! The front of the car feels more planted. I really have to look into the rest of the UR bars and some sway bars and the car would probably handle perfectly.

Looks? Don't care, it's under the hood, if it ever bothers me I'll remove it, sand it, and paint it a satin black.

Engine work? I can still do oil changes and spark plug changes without removing it (I checked), if the car needs more serious work than that the difficulty of removing it would not be my biggest concern.
