Hi - my first post here.

I have a 2004 535d Sport am travelling to the Alps in France on saturday, and I need some advice with snow chains!!

BMW are telling me they don't advise snow chains, since the Sports suspension on the S model is slightly lower than SE and may have clearance options.

I've looked in to Snow Socks, and they aren't actually legal to use in France where snow chains are needed.

So what can I do? Has anyone actually used snow chains on a E60 sport with no problem? I think 9mm would be the way to go but I don't want to wreck my car!!
