How about some light tint, or is that not allowed in Cali?

thanks!

I don't know about tinting anything other than the reflectors... I don't want to get noticed! Yep not allowed here I believe. I will do my windows though.. fingers crossed lol.

One other thing I'd like are the 12mm spacers for the rear wheels. They don't seem to match how flush the front wheels are..

Yes, tint is legal in Cali, on the back windows only. You can go as dark as you like. I went with 20% on the rear doors and rear glass and 35% on my front doors (not quite legal on the front doors)

Right, I see cars all the time with tint on the front windows around here. I'm guessing as long as it's not blatant 'I don't care' darkness they go easy on us.

I was thinking of going the same all around, and then using the shades in the car if I want a little darker in the back...

I did 35% all around and haven't been hassled at all, even by my buddies who are cops. In the end you usually won't get pulled over for tint but for something else and then you get tagged for tint if it is really dark if you give them attitude.

Got the window tint done and some shots of the tinted reflectors on the car outside, so of course I'll take another opportunity to whore my pics

It is 35% 3M tint all around.

and a cool shot that was taken on Mulholland that I purchased. This is before any of the mods. I think the rear tires look bad ass

take care thanks for looking!

I'm liking the tinted reflectors! I've been meaning to spray them with tint, as well as the side marker lights. I tried using tinted vinyl on the reflectors but it didn't stick very well. Switching to matte black grilles is one of the first mods I did to my 550! I also took off the "550i" badge from the rear for a clean look, but may spray them with black plasti-dip...already blacked out the keyhole on the back!

Very cool about the key hole!! I was partially considering the M5 trunk finisher because it gets rid of that lol.

Yep, I also tried using the vinyl on the reflectors first. I got one on just right and it was nice, but I think I was a couple mm off on the other, and it caught wind and flew away.. the spray is the way to go for sure IMO.
