Could some one with advanced AC please take a pic of the AUC (auto recycle) sensor for me?, this is next on my check list for fitment and I need to confirm which one it is as there's two listed on the ETK.
it`s location is on the top left corner hand on the engine cooler fan cowling. Thank you.

I have a 2004/1 E60 with the automatic climate control.
There are two AUC sensors:

Heater and Air Conditioning => Control units, sensors, actuators
Item 1 64116933052 is located at the top corner of the engine cooling fan (right-side of vehicle).

Item 2 64116988303 is located at the cabin micro filter cover.

"What sensor is this?"

Thanks for that VK, you got me thinking now because the WDS only shows the AUC sensor fitted to the fan cowl. I wonder where the second one is wired to
According to the TIS there's only one AUC sensor as well.

You are correct. There is one AUC sensor per vehicle. I got confused with my E90.
On my 2004 E60, the larger rectangular style AUC sensor is at the top right-hand corner of the engine fan housing.

On my 2007 E90, the smaller round style AUC sensor is at the bottom right-hand corner of the micro-filter cover.

Both USA vehicles have IHKA High systems.
I looked at the ETK for the E60N (LCI). The round-style AUC sensor is listed, so they may have relocated it to the micro-filter cover area for the newer E60N.

From the DIY
ask at your local dealer.
forgive my stupidness lately im running on 4 hours of sleep a day .
ive already fitted the solar sensor
its the part numbers for the lci auc sensor + plug + contacts
and part numbers for the condensation sensors plug and contacts
really beggining to notice lack of sleep causes confusion.
i cant get time to travel to the dealers ,then have to return again a few days later to collect parts . my brother orders them trade and they get delivered to the garage but without part numbers its a hard battle with the bmw parts desk
