Solo-Werks S1 Coilovers
Hi everyone, I'm in the market for a set of coilovers and I came across this Solo-Werks on modbargains. They're set at a great price which both scares and intrigues me. Has anyone had any experience and or heard anything about these?

Thanks in advance.

Solo Werks do not go aggressively low. Seen a few posts about the height adjustment screw coming off of the threads on the VW forums. For 499.00 + tax, you are looking at about 540.00. Better off saving a bit more and getting something more reliable.
My suggestion is either get yourself some BC BR coil overs (not Buddy Club). Or D2 coil overs. Both have dampening and can adjust ride height by the actual shock. With set ups like Solo Werk's you can only go as low as the threads allow. These other 2 brands are shock adjustable. Meaning you can lower the shock and spring & not have to sacrifice shock travel (which is the major cause of a bouncy ride).

Jamo. Sorry realized I worded something wrong. My comment about adjusting ride height by shock was not very informative. What I meant was that you can adjust the shock travel. Ride height will be adjusted by the coils. The shocks can be set to it's lowest position to give you more shock travel.

I haven't had any experience with these coilovers but I have experience with ST's and KWs. ST are a nice option for those who just want to lower with a good quality coilover system. KW vairant 2 will be the best option for our cars in my opinion. You can change spring rate and lower with KW v2.
