I'm looking for some high-tech easy snap on snow chains for my E60. 17" 245 rims.
BMW OEM does those stupid old system classic chains and only for 17" 225 I think. That is a

for me.
I can only found one by Pewag company. Is there anything better lets say in Germany or you Scandinavian guys? I would prefer those new plastic ones with tiny spikes where there is actually no steel chain at all.
And it must be like 20 second snap on thing. ANyone from Europe? Uhmm well even USA as long as they ship them to Europe.

Hi Peter yeah I bought one too but here from my delaer the biggest on-line retailers of tires also sell chains, but there are two types by BMW also one is like 200? the chain and the best one is 400? SPIKES so like a sock you put it on in 3 min, the other might take 30min.

In my country (H) you can also get it by the big petrol stations.

I thought that i read some where that chain are not commended for our car? i wish i could remember where i read that? was it in the manual? I need to go back to the manual and check it out.

No, in snow you can have a good use of them. What really matters is the size, exactly have to have the same as on urc ar, normally waht BMW recommended. Here in EU only in F and A they ask if u have that in the car. Of course you only need it for the rear wheels.
