I never thought of just smoking the white part..(I have my entire tails smoked like flyingpuck).. I think just the white looks pretty good.. nicely done!

Thanks! I like the blacked out look too of smoking all of the tail lights, but for me, I just wanted to keep it a stock look, with a little change. The other part I was concerned about it having my brake light portion being darker than normal and possibly someone not seeing me hit the brakes as easy. Just wondering how you find the light from the back of the lights now that they are tinted? I've seen some pretty dark ones on here. Wondering if that's a problem at night with brake light visibility.

I think it looks great! But I also agree that the white part of the taillight is a good contrast against a darker colored car. Thanks for sharing!

mine are a "medium" tint and haven't had a problem with visibility of the brake light.. I've seen some really dark tinted tails and wondered the same..

Thanks. I also did it on my X5. However, I had these lights custom sprayed instead of using a film.
