I have a small problem and I hope someone can help. I just installed an aux input in my 04 530 and had the dealer program. I installed a sirius sportster 5 and the sound sucks. There is alot of static using the aux input and it seems that other people have the same problem. No problem w/my ipod just with the unit w/power.
Now here is the big question. Where does the antenna connect to the radio is it in the trunk or is it on the back of the cd player where I plugged in the aux input. I have used fm modulators in my truck and other cars and they work great. I bought some cable adapters from best buy so I can use the modulator but before I tear the dash apart again I am just wondering if anyone here can help??

Thanks
Rich

If anyone is interested the antenna connection is on the back of the head unit. Pull the unit out and the antenna is in the upper left corner ( looking at it from the back). You can get antenna adapters @ Best Buy and put an fm modulator in line with the antenna.

Just wanted to add a post to this thread, I have the Sportster 5 through my AUX and it sounds great! I did remove the board on the AUX cable to help the sound but just wanted to make sure someone didn't read this thread and decide against the aftermarket Sirius radio!
