You can find million answers and threads about it using the powerful search function on the upper right corner.
Just a quick run down, you'll need the Sat module & the bracket+screws then install is a snap then bring a thick wallet to the dealer for re-programming (also fiber lines re-arrangement) so the iDrive will see it in addition to AM, FM, WB, CD etc as an additional input source.

make sure you think its worth it first though...
i have satnav in my car and i never ever listen to sirius....i tried giving it a shot but honestly the programming isnt anything special IMO....might be a waste of time and money in the long run unless you specifically are burning to get certain programming into your car....

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.
+1 Also the sound quality is not all that great either! My total cost was around 500.00 and I'm not sure that I would do that again. .
