Thanks for the earlier welcome all.

So I went and got some more info on the Sirius solution, but now my dealer is telling me that because my car doesnt have option 693 (the Sirius prewire), I can't get the SIrius retrofit. Is this true that the prewiring kit *can't* be added post production?

At this time, it seems that the prewiring/prep is pretty important. The cost of adding it after the car is built is more than likely too expensive for the average consumer.

The only thing that might save some people in this situation is if their car was built during the time that BMW froze the prewire/prep option and didn't allow people to order it. It seems to me that for these people, the right thing to do would be for BMW to eat the cost of retrofitting the wiring for anyone who's order was changed or who wanted to order it but couldn't.
