I think the 520D is the only e60 to come with a single tail pipe. I do like it because it seems bigger than the engine actually is but does anyone know where I can buy a chrome tailpipe cover for it. It almost seems like BMW forgot to attach that on. UK source preferred but if not anywhere is fine.
Also if anyone is aware of alternatives I can use in case a BMW part is not available.

Wouldn't Tommy's ride look brilliant with the part I'm after. http://forums.e60.net/uploads/post-5001-1144569878.jpg

Hey, great idea ,
Suggestions welcome, and if someone has applied this mod already, I welcome the pics.
Even without pics, I can see/appreciate the improvement of a chrome cover

Check out your dealer. Here in Sweden BMW has a sport exhaust system with chrome tailpipes in their option catalogue. I'm not sure thou if there is one for the 520d...

The ones I've seen till date are for the dual outlets. The 520D has a single outlet and I haven't seen any for them. Can you find out from your dealer if there is one for the 520D and give us a part number?

Can't see how that will work for the 520D. This is typically for the dual pipe models. Note that 520D is not just missing a pipe, the shape of the pipe itself is quite different. I think that ad is a typo for the 520D.

Could be true because i didn't see that it was like 2 pieces.

Before:

And after:

Should definitely look sportier

Even that would do (if there was such a mod) provided you don't expect me to carry my laptop to the car to photoshop it!

Haha Looks good, but still I am more interested in the true chrome thing and after some surfing, could not find anything on the web ready to use, so I dropped a few emails on some websites to enquiry if anything is in the pipe-line.
