So what is the difference between the ESS and the Singh Tune? (Besides the major difference in price)
Get the Singh tune bro, it's unbelievable! Definitely worth the extra money over the ESS I think, I mean even though you're paying a premium price for the Singh tune, it's worth it just to let Jags work his magic, this guy is the MAN!

With the ESS, doesn't it do the same thing as the Singh Tune?

The ESS ver. 2 tune for the M5 is descent in terms of power gains from reviews I was reading online, but I also read some Singh tune reviews from M5board.com and other sites, and it seems that the majority of people who got the Singh tune really enjoy it, ask Eurocarfan he came from another tune then went for the Singh tune and feels the difference. I'm telling you man, Jags is no joke he seriously worked his cpu magic on my car, and I bet he'll definitely put a smile on your face after you get his tune. I hope that helps man.

Nice, do you think by taking the SB out, there will be any advantage. Jags said that sprint booster could actually hurt the ECU's tuning capabilities since it sends an amplified throttle signal to the ECU, which conflicts with the Singh tune.
I don't know how the SB effects the tune. I might remove it just to see though.

Phi, I don't know what the difference is between the two tunes but the ESS v2 tune has proven dyno gains tested by RPI and we haven't done independent testing of the Singh tune yet. By vouching for Singh, I'm not saying I think it's better than ESS.

I'll remove my SB too, and see if it makes any difference. I'll post back afterward.

Everything you said above, is what the ESS tune does. ESS normally charges $1300. They are offering a special for $800. In the end, they are pretty much identical. On top of that, ESS has partnered with RPI(Eloy) to provide published stats and dyno sheets from owners cars. I told Jags he needs to do that. Sure, everything can be manipulated to give you the numbers you want, but having this research, helps validate your offer even more.

Don't get me wrong, I think Jags has a great product and is a fantastic person (I spoke to him many times), but smoother shifting, increasing the redline, removing the limiter and adding power can be obtained by Dinan, along with all the other companies. Dinan is conservative when it comes to power, which is why I think ESS is more along the same lines as Singh. I'm sure ESS wants to extract as much power as possible too. However, keep in mind that our engines are NA. If I had an AMG engine in my car, that would be a different story. If ESS were still $1300 and not offering such a special, I would probably do Singh for the additional $100. However, a $600 difference is quite substantial.

Congrats on the tune though. That's great stuff. I'm really glad to hear that another person is satisfied.

When are you getting your ESS tune? And did you receive the package I sent yet?
