Much as I want to go with the beauty of 19's, I MUST choose the practicality of 18's. That said, what VMR style looks best in 18"? I'm torn between VB3's and V710's. I'm wondering if the V710's might look a little bigger since the spoke goes all the way to the edge of the rim, while the VB3 spokes go only to the inside. Any thoughts or personal preference?

+1 for 19"...compliments the E60 well. I may be biased as i am running 172 19" spiders!

When you say you "must" go with 18's, it sounds like you are still trying to convince yourself! (I say this because I am in the EXACT same situation). That said, if it must be 18's I think the 710s are the "newer" model and look better to me.

Are you going with a staggered set-up?

The reason I "must" go with 18's is that I drive over 30K miles a year, including quite a bit in the winter. And I don't intend have a second set of "winter wheels". So I can't pick my wheels solely on looks. I think 18's are sporty enough - they'll certainly look better than the terrible stock 17's. Plus they'll give a better ride and some decent options for all-seasons.

You are correct, I'm definitely still "trying to convince myself". It's always hard to do the practical thing instead of the fun thing. But I don't think my ass will think the 19's are fun on 8-10 hour car days. (I have a lot of those!)

And yes, definitely staggered: 18x8.5, 18x9.5
