Gents,

Second, the 545i with M-technik front, OEM M5 rear, real quad exhaust syst. to fit M5 bumper. And the sound of the V8 is superb.

I know gentlemen would like to see & hear the result before all of you give the approved. Enjoy with good taste!!!
Awesome look and sound!!!!! Maybe its the low angle but it looks like the bottom of the rear apron needs finishing...Have you considered painting black inside? Love the look, Great job!

Gents,

Remember, this is a custom built quad exhaust for 545i. My friend and I took time to research all aftermarket exhaust syst. for 545i. With my knowledge and my friend skills with fabrication, we came up with this setup.

If you are in performance numbers I can't not give, not that this system does not add hp. I don't have access to equipments that can measure it. This setup is for look and sound. I know that aftermarket co. claimed 10-15 hp for their syst. But I know the fact that those numbers will not make much of performance that you can feel. Unless, you are doing a whole nine yards with headers, cats, mufflers, intake, tuning reflashed, larger throttle body, racing flywheel and camshaft to your car then you will get big hp and performance this side of supercharging.

I was just too tired of paying high prices and empty promises for something that I can probably design and fabricate with a help of my friend.
Great job, I love the sound you have achieved !

Personally I am interested in the technical aspect of the setup, not the performance figures. I assume it's a true quad - are you running straight pipes from the last resonator cullminating to mufflers on each side ?
or one big muffler at the default position and running an extra pipe from there to the other side ?

I'm asking because it makes a difference to the sound and also how you achieve the piping in the difficult area between the battery and spare tire compartment (placement of muffler or not)...

appreciate any feedback on this point (pics welcome as well)

Thanks!!! I always wanted a true quad, not dummy or extra pipe connected to the main pipe. This set up has 2 mufflers and straight pipes from the cats. Similar to RD Sport system. To achieve the right side space between the spare tire compartment wall and the battery I used 14" muffler tilted to fit the narrow space, again just like RD Sport.

Yes, I am thinking about paint the front of spare tire compartment black. Also, maybe mesh grill.

Thanks for that - I am always refreshed when I get a straight technical answer like that !
I makes much more sense to me corellating the mechanics of your setup with the sound, which honestly is HOT !

you are basically running something similar to this :
