I'm getting ready to do a Mtech front bumper and M5 rear but my question is are the side skirts necessary (either mtech or m5)?
Does it look weird with stock skirts? I can't really tell a difference between the mtech skirts and stock skirts?

m5 and m tech side skirts are the same...and they are different from "stock" side skirts as they are flared/curved out at the bottom....
and yes..IMO..they complete the look, the lines on the bottom of the front and rear bumper will look disconnected without the side skirts.....get them...

The side skirts really complete the mod. Without them the front bumper won't flow correctly and once you look at all the fantastic cars on this site you'll decide to get them installed. This is just my opinion. If you decide to go with them you should check out Trinity Autosport. They offer side skirts at a good price and they fit really well. I have them installed on my car and I'm happy with them. Just my 2 cents.

we do have our replica mtech side skirts in stock

IMHO, the side skirts do complement the full kit.

Get the skirts, they cost like $200 bro and look sooooo good! If you can't tell the difference look again, if you still cant get your eyes checked
Actually Ben, I was in the same boat as you. I couldn't tell, or the difference was so minor to me in the pics that I asked myself if it was worth doing at all. To be short, I had no idea what the fuss was all about.
When I changed my rear bumper, Trinity gave me a good deal, so I thought "what the heck", I will just do it. After I saw it in person, the difference is very evident. Definitely worth doing if you can budget it in.

I had my m5rep front from Trinity and got the OEM M tech rear from the dealer for a year without sides. Got the OEM sides from a member here a few months ago.....HUGE difference! Get them!
