I am getting my 2010 carbon black 550i (with M package) next week.
The car is going through immigration in South Carolina right now and taking its oath of allegiance to the United States.

Looking at mods.

What does everyone think of these side grills???

Do I ruin a great car by putting these on? I also don't like the M5 badge when I won't have an M5.

Does anyone know how these work? How are they installed??

Thanks for any help in advance. FYI, I do plan to get the carbon fiber front grills. These are pretty cool.

According to pics they are "real" vents so they require cutting of the panel.
I don't think they're worth all the effort.

your side marker is also a lot higher than an M5's which means that it would be clearly obvious that you're sportin a fake. Don't do it.

Besides, these replace the M5 side grills - which you won't have since the M5 Sport Package does not include M5 Badging on model specific front fenders. For that you need to spend the extra $25,000.

You'll enjoy your new 550 without them.

I think you don't need them. Be proud in your 550. Putting those on would be like riding around with obvious M5 envy lol
