Gave the details to Nick, and it looks like he has obtained a price then. Will PM Nick to see what price has been offered.
any update?

Got a price from a UK distributor... basically the quote is the same as it would cost to get the wings, bonnet and boot over from the US shipped to my door.

I dunno man, i was looking at some boots or trunks on ebay and the shipping was wayyy more than the boot itself, it was like $600 for shipping and $400 for the boot lid. What was the quote you got? can we collect? whos the vendor? Thanks.

the offical UK seibon distributers found on the website... reckon the credit crunch is making people greedy.... or not wanting to pay much

The US guy's postage was quite reasonable TBH, he just didn't drop the items prices...seeing as though they were 'or best offer' too. The UK prices were the same digits as the US only the currency was changed... so the wings (item only) were $800 by US or ?800 by UK.

OK OK OK! We did install the VIS CSL replica CF trunk on Nerweezy's car last Thursday and it looks AWESOME...except some gaps near the rear windshield. I talked to VIS about it and sent them pictures and they will be fixing it for me. Once they fix it I will post new pictures, but for now all you get is this

so just a little update, we adjusted the fitment on the trunk to greatly reduce the gaps, but since last week I have my stock trunk back on my e60

Thanks

fitment was solved as when we transferred the trunk to my boss's e60, we learned how to adjust it and there is barely any gap

here's a pic:
