My friend was driving an M6 for a while and didn't know it has launch control. I demonstrated it to him and he absolutely LOVES it! To my amazement, there's quite a bit of grip!! Now I am wondering if they can raise that 1500 rpm limit to the European models. He told me to do it. I didn;t want to do launch control to his car just in case anything happens so I showed him what to do and jumped into the passenger seat. Wow it felt nice! And driving that SMG does take some time getting used it. It feels EXACTLY like clutchless shifting in a FULL manual car. LOL. It felt exactly like the Maserati I was gonna buy a few years bakc but better. Gotta teach the GF how to drive it since she complains every car I buy is manual except for my CLK55 of course.

Nice! LC is a blast!!! If I'm not mistaken you may be able to void your warranty if done too many times. The one way around it is to get a smg tune like I have (coincidentally launches at 4500rpm)

LC is very addicting. It's soooo much fun.

Just like dbae1978 said though...be careful. There have been documented times that a dealer all the way up to BMWNA have denied warranty claims if your tranny fails (or anything drive train related fails) if they determine you have done launch control many times. LC is one of those things that can be tracked as to how many were performed over the life of the car.

I can launch my car @ 4500RPM, once a day without it triggering any warnings. As a matter of fact, I just dropped the car off @ the dealership for maintenance. All you need is a SMG tune!
