I think I wanna upgrade the brakes when these go, doing some research.
I'm planning on getting the slotted Stoptech rotors front and back, along with their steel brake lines. In an ironic twist of fate, Stoptech does not offer any pads for my car - 06 530 Xi - unless I get new calipers (which I don't want to do), so I'm having to look elsewhere.
I got word from a Pagid rep that the only Pagid pads that are available for a 2006 530Xi are the ones they sell exclusively through Bavarian Autosport for $79.99 front and $54.99 rear. Price-wise, it seems like a decent deal, but I really have no idea about how these pads perform, aside from what the rep told me. Has anyone used these? What can you say for or against them?
Also, feel free to recommend other brands/models - I wanna know what's the best set of pads that I can get. My requirements: pads have to be street-usable in all seasons, and I want a decent life-span. I also want best possible bite and minimal fade, as I do drive my car at 100% occasionally. Mostly, these brakes will be used in a light driving around my neighbourhood, but occasionally, I do go places where I let it all go, hence the need for an upgrade.
