My Ride: E60525i: Logic 7, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, CIC Retrofit, OEM Nav activation, new controller, Combox, 6FL/6NR , Heated Steering Wheel, 6 Speed STEPTRONIC, Bluetooth, 6 CD Changer, Escort 8500 X50 Hardwired, Remus Exhaust, 35% tint, Alufe
Does anyone know of a good facility to get my shadowline trim installed? Or even a forum member who is skilled? It's apparently quite complex (avoiding bending or cracking trim/scratching paint etc). Would like to have this done ASAP. Thanks.

If you don't care about your chrome trim why not just work with that a few times to get the hang of it. Pop it all off, then put it back on. Get the process down and then move onto the real deal. Seem like removing the chrome one would be the difficult part (or redoing it if you decided to skip this and put the shadowline on first). If you aren't selling the chrome then you effectively have a freebee to work with. I'd be in the garage tonight if I were you.
Oh, and I'd protect the paint at all costs. I'd never be able to not notice something I personally messed up.

No, I'm frightened by auto clips of every kind. Trim, interior panels...all scare me. It's easy to type into the computer that you should do it though. I can live vicariously through you, right? I'll do it when chrome looks like crap but I can't justify it right now.

LMAO, no need to have little things like clips frighten you. I have removed/replaced my trim 7 or 8 times now, because I apinted it a few times then decided to vinyl it in gloss black ($800+ for M5 gloss black window trim is idiotic). I followed the DIY I linked, it's not rocket surgery

Funny you should say that... I'm starting my residency this summer.
I'm still not sure. I mean I could just start doing it. But I'd be more comfortable letting the pros do it.
I'm located in NNJ / NY area if anyone knows of any good places.

And I'm a physicist that works at a rocket engine test facility, how's that for irony? I actually do fracture mechanics type remaining life calculations on the pressure vessels used to test them, but still. I'd take apart a dry scroll vacuum pump before I'd pry on my trim.
