WHAT IS THE SHADOWLINE TRIM? ANYONE POST ANY PICS?
if you notice, some e60's will have a chrome trim around their windows. Others will have a black (shadowline) trim.

A quick search will also find some pics...

found this one..

Is this a simple install? The price seems very reasonable and it does look considerably better!

Okay, I have the Shadowline trim sitting here at my house, and I've read that it is simple and fast to install. Just a quick question for those who have done their own install. I notice that the rubber seal on the door has to be peeled away in order to install the trim pieces, My question is, how do you re-affix the seals to the door when you are done?? Thanks in advance, it's the only part of the DIY here on the forum that was unclear.

I have no idea, but good luck with the install. Remember, patience is key. I know it's asking a lot from you, but could we possibly get some before and after pix? Pretty please!?!?!

Next to wheels, this transformation is second in terms of making this car look completey different. The lines of the car are completely different after this addition is made. It's pretty remarkable, considering how small you might think it is.

I did a quick Mock-up using electric tape and OMG it looks sooooo much nicer! I will have to get the real ones soon.

To answer your question, the rubber seal fits into groves in the trim/door. There is a plastic "push-in" pin that you have to pull out and then the seal is simply pulled off. When you put it back on, press the seal into the grooves and then push the pin back in. It really is easy and can be in 30 mins. Take your time though. It is a dramatic cange to your cars appearence.
