What does a married guy do for fun on a Friday night in the burbs you ask.....install shadowline trim!!!
I got help in the DIY section from member Robbo out of Sweden who, in 2006, uploaded some pics of how to perform this seemingly daunting, yet relatively easy mod. Thanks to Robbo!!
Here's the pics. Enjoy!

BTW...this took only 2 hours to complete.

Look great. What type of tools did you used? What the cost?

Pretty much used a screwdriver, a hammer, a small block of wood, and a towel to wrap the wood in/ protect the car and trim.
Cost was $240 for the trim from my local BMW dealer.

Looks great PlanB,
This is very likely the next mod on my to-do list. Dealerships here in TO are quoting CDN $450 + taxes for this kit which is just outlandish. Gonna have to buy it in the US and ship it over.

What was your estimated installation time for this and were you able to salvage the original trim?

2 hrs. You can get the trim from getbmwparts.com for $258 i believe. Email Evan and he can hook you up. I was going to get it from him but my local dealer made me a better deal.

Contact Evan or Jason @ Tischer, they're shipping to Canada now ... Getbmwparts.com.

OP - Looks great!
