My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
Has anybody experienced a higher rate of tranny lurch or slam after installing the sprint booster? Do you find that you need to reset the tranny often?

My Ride: Jet Black '05 545i, Sport/Premium Pkg, Steptronic, Adaptive Xenon, Nav, L7, Blue2th, PDC,
just installed mine and not quite as thrilled with it like most other folks. i didn't necessarily get a higher rate of slam, just nothing noticebly different during street driving. still got the hesitation. it's great during higway speeds (quicker throttle response), but still got the lag from stop.
i've already done one reset....hopefully i'll see results after a few more miles.

My car feels like it stubbles sometimes when going from a stop. Is this normal though?
The car won't stumble if I gradually give it gas or if I really give it gas, just when I give normal gas.

I just had mine installed today and i have to agree with e6t.lab.rat not very impressed...what is this about having to reset the tranny? Sounds expensive? Is this something only the dealer can do? if so is it covered under warranty if you have the SB installed?

My transmission was slamming before the Sprint Booster, it made no difference in the frequency of slams at all! Now with the new transmission, it does NOT slam at all, and the Sprint Booster just keeps on delivering smiles!!!

All you have to do to reset the tranny is sit in the car. Buckle up. Put the key in ignition position 2 (engine off)
and hold down the gas pedal all the way down for 35 seconds.
Sounds expensive but it's not

Here are the instructions from the link that guy listed above:
Try using the transmission reset trick. You can use the search bar for more threads....
Basically you put the key in the ignition, push the start button without stepping on the brakes.
Hold down the gas pedal for 30 seconds and the transmission resets.
Start the car and the car will 're-learn' your driving style/habbits.
