Hi, does anybody know of a way to raise the rear of the drivers seat on the E61 with sports seats? I feel as if I'm sitting on the floor! thanks Paneuro.

Manual or power? manual there should be a lever. Power you just push the forward/back button up or down.

I wonder if the Sport seats go lower than the base( I have mine all the way down and its still too high)

Use the middle lever on the left-hand side.

No disrespect guys but I've tried all the levers, I know exactly where the lever is for raising and lowering the seat, when I have the seat as high as it will go I then adjust it for leg length. when you slide it backwards the seat drops right down, so much I feel as if I'm sitting on the floor. what I meant when I asked the question was has anybody found a way to raise the rear of the seat when its full back. I have considered putting spacers under the rear of the seat rails but I'm not sure if that's a good idea> thanks Paneuro

Can we assume your seat is powered?

Sounds like you have a shorted switch and / or wiring harness.

All the seat controls work as they should, I have been a motor dealer for 55 years and have owned thousands of cars from cheap Fords to Rolls Royce. I'm only asking if anybody knows of any mod or accessory to raise the rear of the squab on a 530 M sport as I find it a little to low for my liking? thanks Paneuro.

My e60 does not do that. I adjust the leg length and my seat never drops down. That is why I suggested the switch could be bad or the wiring harness.

I know you may have tried this but I'll offer it:

The horizontal switch seems to rotate around a center axis (like an old-school TV channel selector). So, twisting it tilts the seat, not pushing up on the left or right side of it individually.

(I have OEM sport seats with the leg length adjusters and powered side bolsters etc...)
