Remember previously how I stated how MUCH I HATE the Sprint Booster and Velocity? I had so many customers purchase my Spring Booster V2 and it makes me feel awkward that I don't have one or at least TRY it in my car. I want an M5 due to the lack of power. Wanted a supercharger but I don't want headaches. Maybe an SB V2 will solve my problem! It DID!!! Solved it for a little bit. I am having a bit of fun AGAIN!! I am however still shopping for an M5 and will also put the SB V2 in the M5...if I ever get to pick one up. All I am saying is . From a person who HATED the Sprint Booster and Velocity to now a person who LOVES the Sprint Booster V2!

Installation is of course a breeze. I drove my E60 to my Allroad for the tools. All you need is an allen key and the BMW screwdriver. Pry the cover off, unscrew bolt, pull it up, remove the pedal, plug everything in, route the wire, double side tape the SB V2 control. I did this in the middle of the street with buses, cars, trucks, passing by within 5 minutes!

bear in mind I have the following:
K&N drop in
Dual Duct Intake
Dual RPi Scoops
Dinan ECU Remap Stage 2
Billy Boat Custom Quads

Then I started driving to meet up with DKNewYork for a mini photoshoot. We took some NICE pix and it will be up later. On the way there, I tried with it off. Drove JUST LIKE STOCK! Press the button, GREEN MODE. Beautiful! Just how I wanted the throttle to be. EXACTLY how it should've came from BMW. RED MODE. Ack.....felt like the SB V1 and the Velocity in setting 4. Didnt like it in local streets and traffic. I peeled out everytime at the light with RED mode.

I left it in RED mode for a bit then changed to Green mode. Even in local streets with traffic lights, I loved it. It felt PERFECT. No peeling out. LOL. I turned the SB V2 off. Drove normally and then press the button. Gave me a little push. Felt GREAT!

In traffic, I decided to use RED mode. Boy I was wrong. Wasn't good. I left it off and slow slow NYC traffic. When it cleared up a little bit, GREEN mode. Now I just drive it GREEN mode all the time.

Traffic FINALLY cleared up. I have the chance to REALLY test it.

First test was performed in 3rd gear, 3500 rpm. ONE HARD push pedal to the metal with my foot AS FAST AS I CAN.

Setting 1 (OFF) - Felt normal. Just like stock. Excellent! Just how I wanted.
Setting 2 (GREEN) - WOW! I felt like I was pushed back! Response time is DEFINITELY a lot quicker than OFF.
Setting 3 (RED) - It felt same as GREEN mode, Not much of a difference than GREEN. Push back was slightly harder.

Second test was performed in 2nd gear, 3500 rpm. ONE HARD push pedal to the metal with my foot AS FAST AS I CAN.

Setting 1 (OFF) - Felt normal. Just like stock.
Setting 2 (GREEN) - I got pushed back all the way into the seat.
Setting 3 (RED) - It felt like my entire body went into the leather!

I did not try it in 1st gear for obvious reasons. 4th gear felt like 3rd gear. 5th and 6th at low RPMs made no difference. At 3500 rpm, the difference kicks in.

I had the SB V1 and Velocity installed previously for testing purposes. Hated it due to the RPMs not dropping back down quick enough when I switch gears. The SB V2 DOES NOT have that problem. It drops back down like normal. Drives like stock and feels like more power. If you have the SB V1, sell it and get the V2. It's such a HUUUUGE difference.

I was driving on the Belt Pkwy today. I had a little too much fun testing GREEN and RED mode. I BLEW by a cop at 120 mph. OOOOOPS!! But he didn't come chase me. Thank god.

SB V2 Now I can put this product in my signature because remember everyone? I DO NOT like selling products I DO NOT like. If I love the product, I will sell it with my heart!

Oh...cant forget about the pictures. DKNewYork took a couple. I know you guys love seeing pictures

its located to the left of the shifter. Kinda under the heated seats button

Nice write up. I too removed SB V1 as it was irritating to me in have too much when I did not want it. This V2 sounds really good.

Does it remember which mode you were on the next time you start the car (no light, green, red)?
