fyi - I saved some cash today going with BMW Newport on my 166s. 
I ordered them today from Garry Romani. The retail price of (4) 166 rims was $2015 and I got them for $504 dollars less. With the shipping charge, my total came to $1596. As Lomag and others said, Garry was great to work with and my local dealership said they could not even come close to matching that price. Garry conceded they make little profit and are going for volume on a customer base they would otherwise not engage. He told me in some items the cost of shipping is proportionately expensive and he's trying to work deals with shippers to minimize cost. I thanked Garry on behalf of e60.net for giving us such a good break.
PS... I asked my local parts manager to offer the same break for the midwest contingent of e60.net after telling him what Newport and Crevier has done for the coasts - not sure if he will bite.

re: my mod plan: I received my AC Schnitzer mods and Michelin PS2s in the mail and my 166s are in transit from BMW Newport. I'm still waiting on the back-ordered Dinan exhaust. Once my mods are complete over the next fews weeks I'll be sure to post photos.
