Dropped my car off Thursday night and got it back Sat at noon. They installed Sirius, Aux In and rear reflectors...also upgraded software to 17.1

While I was an XM fan till recentlyand being an old rock n' roller, Sirius has it all over XM in this category...really good selection.

I have to say, they did an excellent job! All are working perfectly and integrated with idrive with seemingly no problems at all.

The Aux in may be the best $200 spent on the car so far...works great with my 'shuffle', which I bought a simple plug in charger for (usb type connector) and it takes up little room, stays charged and easily goes in the glove compartment when I am getting out...no cables or 'stalks' to install...and yes, it is loud enough.
The Belkin FM transmitter goes back to Best Buy tomorrow.

As for rear reflectors...this is such a simple little add-on that really adds a nice bit of detail to the car...why in the world don't they just make it standard?

Having the car for just over a month now, my only complaint is the basic audio system....BMW should be ashamed. The lack of bass in this car is nothing less than astonishing! Now, I have to find a simple solution to this (Tube? Infinity BassLink?) and I will be set.

Thanks to all those who answered back on my Aux-in questions...as always, this forum is a fantastic help, especially to the newbies like me!

You should have payed a extra for the logic7 if you wanted more bass. Now it will cost you the same amount aftermarket.

Another satisfied forum member. Another Aux that worked first time with no return, good for your dealer
Do you have control of Aux via the entertainment choices assigned to steering wheel button? That's the only part that does not work for me. Voice and iDrive menu are ok but Aux is skipped when I cycle thru the audio choices via button.

Enjoy ur cool toys

What's the voice command for AUX input? Saying AUX or auxiliary doesn't work.

Yes, aux does work with the steering wheel button jsut fine....however it seems that my Voice control is not operating now! When I hit the button, I hear what sounds like Funct... like the word function is being cut off, and nthing is responding.

Oh well, it can wait until I need to go back in for something else.

"Audio Aux Menu" is one way. I cannot remember if any others. Of course there is nothing to choose once u get to the Menu, but it seemed to me to be the only consistent VR way to get there.

Please help. My dealer continues to report that no cable is available for an iPod connection for E60. What is the part number or description?

All you need to do is have the Aux in installed....the hook up is a simple stereo mini plug out of the ipods headphone jack into the aux input....you and/or your dealer may be thinking there is an interface for idrive - there is none. However the aux input will work fine for you and 'aux' does come up on the entertainment screen and is accessible from the steering wheel buttons.
