Its not that kind of intake system. Since it uses the stock manifold and airbox, the sound stays the same. You're getting cooler air in the airbox with the scoop and a less restrictive air filter allows for higher air pressure in the intake. Renders higher HP output

You may also want to look into hear-wrapping the intake tubing, to keep the ambient engine heat from warming up the tube, making the intake air temperature slightly lower and more stable at higher operating temps.
