Which results? The RPi give result then the aFe negate it = stock?
Why spend money both ways?
AFAIK the RPi scoop will achieve its potential as it was design for a closed enclosure to create pressure ... but I could be wrong ...

afe intakes have been proven to actually cause an hp loss, where the rpi scoop has proven hp gains..
I would save the money on the afe intake...
and just go with an rpi scoop + drop in filter with the stock box
pm members trinity autosport or nerweezy for an rpi scoop +filter package'
here's the dyno thread RE: afe intake vs. RPI scoop...

***I would not go with both IMO

Logically the rpi is forcing more air in and the intake would be receiving that air.
Has rpi done a trial with an rpi scoop with an afe intake?

I dont see why adding a rpi scoop to a E60 with an afe intake wouldnt help.

mixing and matching performance mods from different companies isn't always the best of ideas, as parts/mods of the same manufacturer are designed/developed to work together, i.e: scoop + stock box + drop in filter + ecu reflash....

okay, forcing more air in, but again...it's the hot air from the engine bay mixing in....so you somewhat defeat the purpose of trying to keep the air "cooler" while bringing in more air with an open air intake + scoop
