Justin from RoverActive just came back with prices for the cameras only.

Front - 84 21 0 304 187 - $849.95 USD
Rear - 66 21 0 407 000 - $549.95 USD
Passenger side camera - 66 53 3 418 694 - $299.95 USD

And the entire Round Vision kit 66 21 0 420 510 for the E60 is $2099.95. As mentioned this contains the front and rear cameras and the entire ACM retrofit kit. So is quite good value.

Man, $2100 is too much money.

Buy front camera http://cgi.ebay.com/Eclipse-FEC106-CAB106-Camera-Power-Supply-Screen-NR_W0QQitemZ260185413538QQihZ016QQcategoryZ48605QQcmdZViewItem
That's what I have and it works perfectly fine.

I still haven't installed my ACM yet. Not sure how I want to setup the DVD player. But I'm thinking of using this camera here

BMW cams are way too expensive. I'm guessing with install, it will cost $1100 for ACM, camera, dvd player, install.

You're right, Bruce, that front and rear links are entire retrofit. I believe BMW does not sell rear or front cam individually. Here is the installation instruction for front camera and as you can see they sell it as a package.
Attachment 41083
That install is pretty slick looking. I especially like the mounting plate and camera position. I'm guessing that even if i wanted to get this installed I would be hard pressed to get a dealer to do this. I still don't understand why my $74k car doesn't have a back up camera.

Did anyone successfully retrofit these 4 cameras to an E60/61?
I guess you need special mirror enclosures with holes for the cameras?
My intention is to retrofit on an E61 with CIC. Any considerations for CIC?

things have moved on since then... these days best thing to to is install 2014 iDrive which supports reverse cam by default - just wire it into the back of the head unit.

Also, if you do want top view or complete surround view, buy an Fxx TRSVC, Fxx cameras (however many you want, up to max of 5 I think), hook it up to the NBT and you'll get complete surround view with obstacle markings and dynamic reversing trajectory guidelines.
