Roofrack
#1
Hi All,
I have a Thule Roofrack for my E60 does anyone else ? and does anyone know how to judge how tight to attach it?. I guess it could pinch the metal if it's to tight as effectivley it connects to the car in a clamp like way.
I have done it as tight so as the feet don't move but it's hard to judge if it's to tight or not, I don't really want for dents in the roof as that would be a pain to repair.
Thanks

When I bought my e60 a year ago I tried my hardest to find information on a Thule adaptor for the e60 since I have extensive bike and box attachments for Thule used on my previous 3 series and other vehicles. Unfortunately I found nothing. In fact, upon reading your post I went directly to the Thule website to find out if maybe Thule finally created a mount system for the e60. Unfortunately the Thule site is still stating that a mount for the e60 still does not exist. That said, what Thule set-up are ou trying to attach?

Can you post some pics of the mounting foot / bracket for the E60? I have a Thule rack which I used on my E39 and the foot / clamp look pretty darn similar to the pictures on the Thule website.
