I used to have both.. took off the trunk spoiler and kept the roof actually.
P.S. im selling the authentic trunk spoiler painted sapphire metallic black if anyone interested...

YES KEEP IT - Only cause I just installed mine today! 
I think it's a nice subtle mod that complements the aesthetics of the car without being "over the top"...
