the glue is hard. solid
i tried using a knife, razor, methalated spirits, hair dryer, towel. i got most of it off, but made a little scratch on the paint
theres abit of glue left, while i was working on it, it started raining
ill finish it on a sunny day and post some pics!

Acetone - that's your ticket. Paint thinner isn't good because it also thins the paint on the spoiler (why would you want that?).

Also, did you weigh it down after installing? If you followed the DIY here on the forum (and it worked like a charm for me) I put a big bottle of laundry detergent on either side of the spoiler on rags to protect the paint and leave it there for a few hours to let it get setup.

I wouldn't want to risk scratching the glass.
I use razor blades on all my car Glass surfaces if they need it, and have never had an issue with scratching, but to each their own!

Why would anyone think you could scratch glass with a razor?

+1 you'll have a hard time scratching the glass with a razor blade unless you really go at it.

Man that sucks.

It is stories like these that remind me why I am too chicken to do a major DIY.

Sounds like a body shop will be your safest bet. I am definitely going to have a body shop install my trunk spoiler when I get it.
