My Ride: 1993 Toyota Supra MKIV (6-speed Targa top) - SP67DBB Single Turbo
I had the Lowenhart BR-5 on my Supra and it is a beautful wheel but I don't think it would suit the E60 very well, it is a very 'Japanese' wheel. The Breyton Spirit is more BMW like. You also might want to consider the Breyton Magic Sport, the wheel I have on my car. What size are you going with?

I'm going with 19's, it shouldn't rub. I guest you and my wife feels the same way about wheels. The magic sport is hot, I thought it would look better on my last ride, the e46.

The Lowenhart comes in different finishes (other than shiny).
Check out this link.
If you add some black tint, the LD5 would look good (imo) also.

The breytons look good on the e60, but they're so damn heavy. The 19x9 are 38lbs. Breytons are always on the heavy side, but this is just ridiculous. Good thing though is that the design is not so exclusive as similar styles can be found in other brands.
If that weight does not seem reasonable, contact the tirerack for further info.

If the BR5 were colormatched or powdercoated to your vehicle's color, then they would look hot. Other than that, they've been out for a while and for that price, you can get a newer style Lowenhart. I think the Breyton's have a nice, clean, classy look. Just my 2 cents..
