I was planning on making my car a Hamann replica, but the idea of feeding my car 20inch rubber kills that very quickly.....
However, I did still think I could make a reasonable job of it with some 19's, and much more affordable rims and tyres.
After much searching I found these, however they are 10 blades instead of 9 like the Hamann, I would of course have the faces painted in Matt Black but retain the polished lips
That said I found something else im in love with but completely different , in both cases I am going with staggered offset 245/275 8.5/9.5's
Now im confused, not sure which I love most, the Hamann style look more fitting for the 5 series maybe, whilst the 5 spokes look more like they would maybe be better on a Skyline or something, I just love the design tho.........

I like the style of the wheel in the first pic with the black center but I just don't care for the look of a 20" wheel on the E60. Apart from the visual aspect I would also go with 19" as they tend to be lighter, slightly better ride comfort and as you say less expensive tires (and more options).
I thought you already have 172's with the M-Sport package on your car? I prefer those to the Hamann style!

18inch MV2's currently which are "ok"
I think the mugello's could work nice with the matt black painted into the centres professionaly ? ( thats ones fitted on the 3er )
Ride and handling was also a good reason why I wont go 20inch, yer....
