To be able to update/code some options it is nessecery to update the cars software to the current PROGMAN Version , etc. if the CAS , LM , CCC , M-ASK have to be coded ( I-Pod , TV , CD-Changer , AHL , Logic7, HUD etc. ) , but to "clear" a mailfunctions message etc. Air-Bag , ABS , DTC it is not nessecery !

Oh I didn't mean "update software" to clear message. I meant when putting in new hardware and installing the software for it.

I got bluetooth and Ipod retrofitted but my idrive software is still old. That's odd no?
